Payroll And Take-Home Pay Journey

Payroll pages overlap unless the user can see the role of each calculator. Move from gross pay, to one-check withholding, to deduction audit, to employer payroll cost.

  1. Step 1

    Start with gross pay

Normalize annual, monthly, weekly, or hourly pay before tax assumptions.

  2. Step 2

    Estimate one paycheck

Translate annual assumptions into a per-paycheck withholding estimate.

  3. Step 3

    Audit deductions

Separate taxes, benefits, retirement, and other deductions.

How to Use This Calculator

Use this calculator as a kalkulator wynagrodzeń or kalkulator brutto netto for a standard Polish employment-contract salary estimate. Enter brutto salary first, then adjust PIT-2, KUP, PPK, and relief settings to match the payroll case.

For high earners, enter prior gross salary already earned in 2026 so the calculator can test the pension and disability contribution cap across the year.

  1. Step 1: Enter brutto salary

Use monthly or annual gross salary for a Polish employment contract, then add an annual bonus if relevant.

  2. Step 2: Set PIT options

Choose standard or commuter KUP, select PIT-2 monthly reduction, and turn on under-26 relief only when eligible.

  3. Step 3: Choose PPK

Use not enrolled, standard 2% employee plus 1.5% employer, or custom PPK rates.

  4. Step 4: Add cap and employer assumptions

Enter prior gross salary for the year if the 2026 ZUS cap may be reached, and adjust employer accident insurance if known.

  5. Step 5: Review netto salary

Compare monthly netto, annual netto, employee ZUS, health contribution, PIT advances, PPK, and employer total cost.

How the Poland Brutto-Netto Salary Estimate Works

The calculator simulates 12 monthly payroll periods. That matters because the PIT threshold, PIT-2 monthly reduction, under-26 relief limit, annual bonus, and ZUS pension/disability cap can change deductions during the year.

StepFormulaCalculator treatment
Monthly grossEntered monthly brutto, or annual brutto divided by 12Annual bonus is added in December for cap and threshold visibility.
Employee ZUSPension 9.76% + disability 1.5% + sickness 2.45%Pension and disability stop after the annual cap; sickness continues.
Health contribution9% × (gross salary - employee social contributions)Modeled as employee-funded health contribution for salary payroll.
PIT baseTaxable revenue + employer PPK - employee ZUS - KUPUnder-26 relief reduces eligible taxable employment revenue first.
PIT advanceCumulative 12% / 32% scale increment - selected PIT-2 monthly reductionShows payroll withholding, which can differ from final annual PIT.
Netto payGross - employee ZUS - health - PIT advance - employee PPK - post-tax deductionsShown as average monthly netto and annual netto.

The monthly result is an average of the full-year simulation. If you enter an annual bonus, December net pay can differ from the average monthly netto number.

Why PIT-2, PPK, and the ZUS Cap Change Netto Pay

A Polish brutto-netto estimate is not only a tax-rate calculation. PIT-2 can reduce monthly withholding, PPK can lower take-home pay while increasing employer cost, and the ZUS annual cap can stop pension and disability contributions for high earners partway through the year.

The calculator therefore shows payroll advances and an annual PIT-liability estimate separately. This makes it easier to see whether monthly withholding is likely to be higher or lower than the annual tax estimate before other return items.
